The Unholy Church

The universal church, the Body of Christ, is sick, very sick! This church, of which I am a member by the grace of GOD, is overwhelmingly suffering from unholiness, even to the point of being dead from the 'disease.' GOD is not dead! But, the universal church itself is virtually dead! Unholiness might be compared to leprosy or cancer, and it has been killing off the Body of Christ slowly and methodically for a very long time.

I am not speaking about any specific local church, not about any group of churches, not about any denomination. I am speaking about the universal church, the entire Body of Christ. No local church is immune from unholiness. No group of local churches, whether they call themselves a denomination or not, is immune from unholiness. The simple truth is that no individual Christian is immune from unholiness. Therefore, individual Christians infected with unholiness carry the disease wherever they go...to work, to school, to visits with family and friends, to the store, on vacation, to church, and to their home. Wherever they go, the disease of unholiness goes right along with them.

What are some of the signs (or symptoms) of this terrible disease? Unholiness is the result of sinfulness, not just the sin itself but a chronic sinful attitude. The universal church is filled with willful and defiant sinners who seek the fulfillment of their own sinful desires. They make up Christianity to be a religion filled by man-made doctrines and traditions. Oh, they label it all as being of GOD which is just a cover-up. This unholy universal church is filled with unholy Christians who are brainwashed by unholy leaders into believing everyone who regularly attends and financially supports a specific local church are good Christians and GOD is so happy with them. The sad fact is that the universal church is a 'Christian church' in name only.

Why hasn't the Body of Christ done anything about this disease? When you feel sick, you either take medication, or go see a doctor, or both, because you have a desire to be well. The universal church does not 'feel' sick, and therefore it does not do anything to be well. The reason why the universal church does not recognize that it is sick is because the universal church is spiritually asleep. When you are asleep, you are not aware that you are sick. The same is true for the universal church. That is one of Satan's greatest victories, to keep the universal church spiritually sleep walking. The universal church is spiritually asleep but, because they are walking around and doing lots of stuff in the name of GOD, the universal church does not recognize that it is spiritually asleep. GOD has patiently waited for the universal church to wake up.

I recognize and struggle with my own unholiness as do many other Christians. We who struggle must keep struggling to fight off the disease. Just because we are able to reject the disease for a few minutes, a few hours, or even a few days, the disease will make every attempt to return to infect us again and again.

Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority within the Body of Christ do not recognize their unholiness and therefore do not struggle with it. It is a silent killer, and it slowly devours the spiritual life of each infected Christian.

My fellow brother and sister in Christ, wakeup spiritually and recognize the unholiness that infects your Christian life, that robs you of the dynamic spiritual relationship which GOD wants to have with you. THEN, take action to be well of the disease of unholiness. Develop a personal, spiritual, dynamic relationship with GOD. Be careful of whom you listen to and whom you follow. First, and foremost, listen to GOD directly! Be careful of what others tell you that GOD is saying. You have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you...listen to the Holy Spirit! Strive always to be holy as GOD is holy. Make that a daily priority, a moment by moment priority!
